The Pilot Badge by Juncker

Notes to remember:

Materials used: Buntmetall, Nickel Silver and Zinc. Juncker made badges are considered the “Crown Jewels” by many Luftwaffe collectors. Although there are opponents of this opinion, Juncker badges are commonly accepted as badges with the best overall design and quality. The Juncker Company used three different dies for their badges during the production period. These are referred to as the Juncker 1st, 2nd and 3rd pattern eagle designs.
The finishing process utilised jeweller’s saws to accent the eagle’s feathers. See the last two pictures for details. The same type of saw marks can also be found on Rocky PAB's.
